Hello, all you lovely people. It's time for a new Blog Highlight. This month I swapped buttons with.
Jenny is the creative mind behind the blog and etsy shop. A little bit about Jenny in her own words.
My name is Jenny and I am a happily married stay-at-home mom to three beautiful, busy children - my four year old son and two and a half year old twin daughters! I love my family, decorating/updating our 1980's house, reading, doing crafts, baking and sewing! Here are a few more things about me:
- According to everyone I know, I laugh and walk really LOUD!
- Before I had kids, I worked for the government
- Since becoming a mom, I've never worked so hard - EVER!
- I love spending time at our cottage
- If I could live there all year, I would.
- If I could eat cookie dough all day, I would
- I'm a serial gym joiner that rarely goes to the gym
- I love reading blogs, they inspire me:)
The shop name, Jessie Street Designs, was inspired by my incredibly talented grandmothers - my maternal grandmother lived on Jessie Street and my paternal grandmother's first name was Jessie! In addition to many other things, my grandmothers taught me that nothing beats a handmade item and many of the dresses and sweaters they made for our family have been cherished and handed down through generations:)
Jenny is new to blogging. She has been in blogland for a few months. I asked her why she started blogging?
"I've been inspired by so many great blogs over the years and have discovered how much fun and how rewarding creating a project with your own two hands can be - trust me, if I can do it, so can you!! This blog not only compliments the projects I'm working on for my Etsy shop, but it also motivates me and allows me to share some of our favorite recipes and home improvement, decorating and organizational projects. I hope that you will stop by...and be sure to say hello:)"
She has super cute projects on her blog. A couple of my favorites are.
She will be adding skirts for little girls by the end of the week and for the boys, necktie applique onesies (by the end of the month). On her blog over the next couple of weeks you will see a favorite family recipe, a tutorial on sewing your own apron, and revealing her finished gallery wall.
If you would like to swap buttons and be a blog highlight, just drop me an e-mail. (sevenalive7 (at) gmail (dot) com) We'll set something up!
Thanks for stoppin' by and hangin' out

I'm so glad you introduced us to Jenny! I've been loving her blog since you posted about her on FB a bit ago!
I just recently found Jenny's site too (through our party actually) and love it. Those dresses are too adorable for words. If only I had a little girl, lol.
